Kiley grew up in the small town of Albany, Kentucky, where she graduated valedictorian of her high school class and learned the value of a supportive, encouraging community. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from Tennessee Technological University, summa cum laude, and was awarded the Paul G. Stevenson Scholarship and the W.H. Howard Award. During college, Kiley interned in the state legislature through the Tennessee Legislative Internship. It was during her internship that she fell in love with law, both with seeing how it is made and how it affects lives when it is put into action. Kiley earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree at Belmont University College of Law, graduating sixth in her class and receiving magna cum laude honors. She earned Best Performance Awards in Legal Information and Communication I & II and a CALI Award for Excellence in Client Interviewing. During her time at Belmont, Kiley served as an editor on the Belmont Law Review and worked as a research assistant to Professor Harold See and Professor Lynn Zehrt. Kiley was also awarded a Law Student for Justice Award by the Tennessee Supreme Court for completing 50 or more hours of pro bono legal service during her law school career.
Kiley gained her first legal experience as a pro bono fellow at Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell, & Berkowitz, P.C. She also completed internships with Digby Family Law, P.C. and the 21st Judicial District. Upon graduation, Kiley accepted a position with Waters Law in Cookeville, Tennessee, where she worked as a law clerk and, later, an associate attorney. Kiley is grateful for each of these opportunities which allowed her to grow as an attorney and hone her legal skills. She has learned so much from mentors and friends she met through each experience, and she is excited to combine her education and training at her own firm, KAH LAW, PLLC.
Kiley is licensed to practice law in both Tennessee and Kentucky. She is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association Young Lawyers' Division, the Kentucky Bar Association, the Kentucky Bar Association Young Lawyers' Division, the Upper Cumberland Young Lawyers' Division, and the Upper Cumberland Lawyers' Association for Women, for which Kiley formerly served as Secretary/Treasurer. Kiley is also at Adjunct Professor of Business Law at Tennessee Technological University.
In her spare time, Kiley enjoys reading, cheering on her favorite sports teams, and spending time with her friends and family.
